1. What is the best time for a Yala Safari?
The best time is from February to July, when the water levels are lower and animals gather around waterholes, making sightings more frequent. However, Yala is beautiful and active all year round!
2. What animals can I expect to see?
You have a chance to see Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, mongoose, and a wide variety of birds.
3. How long does a typical safari last?
Morning safari: 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM
Evening safari: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Full-day safari: 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM (includes breakfast and lunch breaks)
4. Is it safe to go on a safari?
Absolutely! Our safaris are conducted in professional-grade jeeps, and safety is always our top priority.
5. What should I bring on the safari?
We recommend:
A good camera or smartphone
Binoculars
Hat or cap
Sunscreen and sunglasses
Comfortable clothing in neutral colors
Plenty of water (we also provide some)
6. Can I book a private safari?

Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world! While we cannot guarantee sightings (as they are wild animals), we have an excellent success rate thanks to our experienced trackers.
